That reminds me my contract is up. Any tricks to getting a good deal through retention or whatever? I'm on 25/25 triple play and don't want to downgrade.

I have the QIP6200-2 and this works perfectly! They even offered to upgrade all my STBs. I had been wanting to replace my STBs due to the sluggish 4:3 interface. Thanks!

I then told them that I didn't think $10/month would really help my financial problems, and that Brighthouse seemed to be offering similar services for cheaper. They essentially told me good luck with that and said they couldn't offer any further discounts. If the wife wasn't addicted to facebook and android games that require an internet connection, I'd be cancelling for a month or two and then returning as a "new" customer.... I'll try anything once, and most things twice.

There is no way you guys can watch a live game on 1470 with the old 6xxx series boxes.
If your unable to tune to 1470 to get it working try another channel ike 1471 or any of the free previews. Heck try NBA League pass. I don't know the channel but it has to be the HD version. If you still can't get it to work then reset box fully and try the steps again. |

Is this a newer box than the QIP 7232-2 that Motorola makes? I have two and both have the 500gb drives in them.

I have 2 of the crappy Cisco boxes, does this apply for these boxes as well?

I'm not sure about the Cisco boxes. If you want to get rid of them try and see if you can get the Motorola boxes.
the 7xxx series is basically to watch MPEG-4 and have more people transition over to MPEG-4 when Verizon does switch over. The boxes you will get will range from the old 7216 DVR to the new 7232 black boxes. I got the old 500gb 7216 Silver box. |

An option may be to cancel service and sign up under your wife's name. That's what people have done recently to get new customer discounts. Search SD for fios and you'll see the threads, which are quite lengthy. |
