Tempting... is it a bad idea to add this to a RAID0 array with two Crucial M4 256gb SSDs? They have similar speeds...I would rather an M4 but haven't seen a good deal on them in a while

Good price -- just make sure you don't confuse this model vs the MZ-7PD256, which has more than double the write sequential write speed (240MB/sec vs 520MB/sec) for ~$70 more.
Depending on your application, the $70 can be cheap and/or expensive of an upgrade...

I have this SSD and removed a 750GB HDD. I used that one as an external. Everything works out! |

This is not the 256GB, it's the 250GB. Huge difference as the 256GB is the pro version.

Got it from Buy.com last week. Now it is the primary drive on my PC. Mostly pictures and Videos are on the old drive, that is what was hogging its space. Boot time and programs are a lot quicker, on average I think about 4 times with this drive. Improvement depends on the cache size and speed of you old HD.

The 500gb version is going for 319 with coupon. An extra 90MB/sec write speed. Worth it for the increased write speed, IMO.

Nearly $150 is a fair deal, but I'm not too excited about it when the Sandisk Extreme 240 GB was hovering around $159 for a couple weeks after Christmas. Let me know when it's another $20 cheaper,and we'll talk.
