You are correct. The thing is I only need it for the screen size, my fingers are like clubs lol I've been looking at the lg Venice for $150 at amazon too but can't decide.

There are cdma version of this phone.

I have the Sprint version of this phone, which has GSM and works abroad. Someone I know who has this phone was just overseas and they were able to receive calls and send and receive texts (hefty rates if you don't get a local SIM though).

It's a nice phone, well-built, sturdy and feels nice in the hand. Screen is quite good, not the biggest but pretty big for the phone's size. Camera is decent but not the greatest. Comes with a built-in FM radio. The main problem I have with this phone is that it's quite slow. It only has a single processor and not that much internal memory, and with the ICS upgrade its performance is just barely tolerable for a smartphone. There's a noticeable lag with many functions.

If you just need a basic smartphone you'll probably like it, but if you want something fast, look elsewhere. I'll probably upgrade to the G4 later this year when I'm eligible, and give this to someone who uses Boost and doesn't need anything fancy.

YEah it is possible for a phone to be both CDMA and GSM with some modding, This phone do not think has an unlock yet, because it was never really that popular, but it IS possible. The CDMA version of this phone is World Phone enabled, so it has a SIM slot under the battery door, i have seen it myself and i believe it was an average SIM size.It will work out of the box overseas, but in the US, it needs some tweaking

Mom has Boost and using an old Samsung, is this the best Boost phone atm under 150$ or will it change in a few weeks.

This is the best deal on this phone at $129. The galaxy s2 is the top end prices range $240 ish to $369. Not worth it IMHO . If she just uses it as a phone only and wants a big screen the lg Venice is a good choice at $150 at amazon.

Jut wondering why dont you buy htc evo v 4g, its available at $150 minus some $15-25 as cashback ! I couldnt find one thing design has better than evo v ! whats your take?

Boost has the evo design 4g. The evo v is for virgin mobile. I've been using boost so long I'm at the $35 mark.

I just bought the design listed in this post for $149 - $20 and got 4% back. The price is too good.
