HTC EVO Design 4G for Boost Mobile $149.95

care to spare a few more comments on ICS version??? is it too slow or draining the batt???

I have the Sprint version of this phone, which has GSM and works abroad. Someone I know who has this phone was just overseas and they were able to receive calls and send and receive texts (hefty rates if you don't get a local SIM though).

The Sprint version of this phone, which they no longer sell IIRC, has both. I have one and can attest to that.

And seems that HTC announces so many models for EVO series, and this phone was initially more for Boost and US Cellular, so that XDA doesn't have an exclusive forum for this device.
If you are into ROM and stuff, you might need some experience.

I'm kinda wanna buy it... if this turns out holding a slot for sim card ... hmmm.... sounds awesome... and i just need to flip off my nexus s 4g and droid x .... .... ....

How is the 3d capability for the EVO 3d? I want to the EVO 3D phone just for the 3D capability.

I have the sprint version of this phone and do not see a slot to put a sim card in. If there is some hidden spot or something I must take apart to get to it I would love to know. As far as I can tell, the sprint evo 3d I am looking at right now does not have a sim card slot.

It is not the predecessor of EVO 3D, evo 3d has dual core and 1GB RAM and very solid phone, unlike this one


It's a curiosity... Unless you have a 3d TV, it won't be that exciting, just something fun to look at....I owned one for a year

anyway we can verify if this phone can use SIM? If not, anyone has experience with returning this phone? I never bought from HSN or be in Boost Mobile.

Does the 3D work well? Can a 3D tv play the files created on the phone or do you have to play it on the phone with HDMI to the TV?

If all you want is a phone with a sim, there's much better options out there for that price


Works fine in the phone. I never got a chance to try it in a TV, but I'm sure you can find reviews of people that did....just to clear out confusions,this is not the 3D

Would this phone be able to unlock for using on T-Mobile in the States?

Boost and Virgin Mobile are MVNO's using Sprint towers. Check the Wikipedia link below for more info.

After my second thought about roms and stuff, i decided not to try this phone, simply because there isn't a moderate-sized community developing roms and hacks for this phone, yet the performance reported so far with ICS and JB seems to be really against owning one. No CM roms directly for this anyway.
I guess the debate on getting it or not, made me be clearer about what kind of phone I want to get for recent future....
