You might read this review of this 220 versus a Sony S590 if you have an extra $15 laying around:

I have a 220 and it suffers from the "flicker" problem. Google Flicker Panasonic 220 if you want to know more.

UPDATE 1/25 @ 9:56a
Deal is dead! Price is back up to $92.99 at Amazon.com and shipping is no longer free at Fry's ($79.99 + $7.99 ultra shipping). The Sony Blu-Ray player mentioned above is $94.05.

How is the responsiveness? To clarify, Does it "boot up" or turn on fast, is it linux or proprietary based? Does it seem to play a disc quickly or does it take a while? Does it open burned DVD's and such?

Does the remote work well and does the unit respond quickly to the remote?

Thanks...

Lots of great reviews. Really need this for Netflix at my shop.

Thanks!

I wonder if this would produce a better picture streaming Netflix, instead of just streaming Netflix from the TV application? Just bought the Panny Plasma 55" GT50, love it, but since I very rarely watch DVD's and Blu Ray, I primarily only would have this to stream Amazon and Netflix, Hulu+, which the TV already does. Any advantage to streaming trough a blu-ray over the TV directly?

Assuming you're able to stream HD already, I would guess there's not much of an advantage. The main complaint I see with built-in Netflix apps is sluggishness or crashing, so as long as you're happy with that part of the interface, I wouldn't necessarily buy another device just for that.

I have this conencted to a Vizio 3d TV and can do 2d to 3d on DVDs. Are you saying 2d->3d works on netflix movies too? (When I tried it on netflix movie picture was messed up)
