I've been looking at this one and the Sony BDP-S390 and can't decide. Anybody have experience with both? There have been complaints on netflix and wifi connection issues with this one. 3D isn't a concern.

The Sony is here: http://www.amazon.com/Sony-BDP-S3...u+ray+wifi

Some people were able to cash in on the BB $50 coupon. This item is $120 at BB so basically you could have snatched one at BB and only paid $70 + tax. I'd rather buy it from Amazon but that's just me.

I got the same deal. I've had a PS3 since 2007 for blu-ray and I finally got sick of the fan noise.

This player is a bargain for the price. You can't do significantly better until you step up to an Oppo for $500.

Can this do 1.5X speed play like PS3 with Subtitle smoothly??

"This is the second time today I went to order something from Amazon and it got removed from my cart because they yanked it (OOS?). Very irritating."

I was ready to submit my order with Fry's and decided to check Amazon again. Sure enough, Amazon was listed again as a seller for $79.99. WTH. Anyhow, got my order in. Thanks OP.

FYI: Sony Blu-ray player comparable to Panasonic DMP-BDT220 would be Sony BDP-S590. Costo had it (the model # in Costco is BDP-S59) for 79.99 after some coupon. Don't remember when the coupon was to expire. From reviews, the one major complaint on Sony is the relatively slower Disc load times. Otherwise either brands have got great reviews. Not sure on Netflix/Wifi connection issues. (As for me I own Sony BDP-S590 and I have ethernet cable running in to it.)

This looks like a good deal. I don't have a blu-ray player and I've been in the market for one. Any reason not to pick this up?
