If I advertise my car for sale at $0, shake on a deal, sign the title over, then call the next day asking for more money what do I deserve? Nothing. A multi-billion dollar corporation is no different. The company should fire whomever they deem responsible and leave the OP alone. He did nothing wrong. If a person knowingly accepts goods for which he knows the other isn't selling intentionally at that specific price, is it moral to continue? |

Tell them to roll it up real tight and sit on it. If they cancel your service, you also are getting away with a free contract cancellation without paying an early cancellation fee. If your phone is AT&T you can get service on T-Mob. If it is Verizon you are in a bit more of a pickle.

If the items were 50% off or even 75% off you might have a case of just taking advantage of a good deal. Frankly when you "buy" $400 worth of items for $0 they can probably make the case that you were knowingly trying to defraud them by exploiting a glitch in their website. I won't comment on what their legal options are as I am not an expert, but I wouldn't assume that Verizon has no way of trying to recoup their losses if they try to do so.
