Deal Details

There are plenty of X230T Tablets in stock on the Lenovo Outlet. These are NEW, not refurbished! Price is $632 + free shipping (I should have mentioned that in the title).

Link to Outlet [lenovo.com]

Important:

Do not filter by "X Series Tablet"

Instead, filter by "X Series" only. Then, filter results by "Price (Low)" and scroll until you get to $630 price, and you should see plenty of tablets in stock. I was pretty surprised to see so many, and hopefully these actually have multitouch unlike the last deal.

Good luck!

Why does the website http://outlet.lenovo.com not work for me? It just takes me to the lenovo.com main page, no matter what browser I use. Tried Chrome, IE9, Firefox, Safari, no luck with any of them. Even if I go to Google and click on the outlet.lenovo.com link, still takes me to the main page. WTF?

I think this might happen if the website gets overloaded. It has happened to me before as well. Hopefully it works for you soon!

It doesnt work like that, you have to type into the bar "outlet.lenovo.com" exactly as it is with nothing else for it to work.

that's an acceptable resolution for 12.5" but it is pushing it. Anything more and you have to step up.

It's worlds better than a 15.6" 1366x768 monitor...

Typing this on a 15.6" display with 1366x768 resolution, I concur.

I hope you have a good quality magnifying glass for 1600x900 on a 12.5 inch screen.

Does the font really shrink on smaller screens? Seems to me things are still nice and readable on 1080p 4-5" smartphone screens...

That was more or less an exaggeration. I guess it depends on the person, but 1366x768 is quite acceptable for a 12.5 inch screen.

*buy not 'but'

my 2c, FWIW...

JUST 10 min ago finished replacing the broken screen from my x230t I got on the outlet site a few weeks ago (i5, webcam, multitouch, for 630$)

It was a refurb, not new, but thought it was a pretty good deal to replace my old x200t. It seemed like a pretty solid build quality initially, until it broke.

Within a week, screen broke, in a briefcase that had a small bump, that had both the x200t and the x230t. The 200 was fine, the 230 lcd and multitouch digitizer were smashed. No extended warranty available on refurb lenovo outlet. They wanted a THOUSAND dollar retainer, or ~600 bucks for the new screen DIY.

Credit card co wouldn't warranty because refurb.

Bought a 100$ IPS laptop panel from a 3rd party and just finished jerry rigging it together, so now I have basically a regular x230 with a swivel screen and no pen function.

If I could take it back, I would wait to snipe a new one, if only to be able to get a credit card warranty if needed.
