Sounds like you don't like it. I know I hate it. But I've only got 1 buddy who has the smooth motion option and has it turned off. Every other TV I've seen in a friend's house has that ish turned on. It's awful.

Good deals here. For potential buyers, you might want to take into account that these sales are probably the result of the new 60 series models that has been announced for 2013. Especially if you are one who wants the best or newest. The ZT60 will be replacing the VT as the flagship model. Otherwise, great deals on the 2012 models.

Just purchased the 60 inch GT50 for $1700 pre tax. Did about two weeks of research and the Viera was highly recommended by personal friends, online reviews, youtube reviews etc. Was originally in the market for a 60 inch ST50 but the 60inch GT50 came down to the same price as the ST50. Had to pull the trigger.

Sorry if this is already posted, but I noticed that SAVE200 works on the 60" GT50...is this what you did in order to get it for $1700 or did you get in on the Best Buy deal from a couple of days ago? I'm really fighting the urge to pull the trigger.

Yup, I used the the SAVE200 and purchased my TV from PaulsTV.

Okay, thanks. I may give Best Buy a call and see if they can do anything for me...the easy returns and 24 months no interest may be worth the hit in tax for me. The last time I used my BB card was when I got in on the Pioneer Kuro 5080 deal back in early 2008...that thing hasn't missed a beat and still puts out a great picture in today's standards (even if it is only 720p). Hopefully the Panny will be a worthwhile upgrade...I'm mostly looking for an increase in size without taking a hit in picture quality.

I got my 60gt50 from BB in Nov. and I am 100% happy I was able to get 2 price adjustments when then TV got lower in price so I ended up paying. 1699 + tax 1599 (after nov amex bb deal, shopkick, and bb 2% back) Just an fyi in case you didnt know... BB geek squad warranty covers burnin, I havent seen any other warranties that cover it. So that gave me piece of mind since this is my first plasma. Also since buying the TV put me at premier level I am getting it calibrated for free. Some say they dont like bb calibration but Im gonna do it anyway. I will update the panny threads after they do it with my opinion (coming in mid Feb to do it)

I got the P60UT55 for $823 at Best Buy last week one of the slickest deals I've scored in a while!!

My LG bedroom plasma is doing it during the superbowl...hopefully it's on their end.

Yeah I think it was just the super bowl because no other channel did it.

I strongly agree with you. Since all 3 Panasonic series are great TVs anyway, I would take 60GT over 55VT for larger picture.

I don't know why but I just upgraded from 60in to 65in and extra 5in I can't see the noticeable size difference. Oh well...
