Well that sucks...because it matters to me....physical copy I get hit with $6 extra in Cali sales tax, and I have to wait a week after release for my copy to arrive (using free super saver shipping)....with the download version, I don't get hit with tax, and I get the code immediately and punch it into Origin....and yes I am aware that Origin is required for the PC version...but I'm okay with that, considering I have a bunch of EA titles on there now....ME3, Dragon Age, Battlefield 3, etc

Crysis 3 seems to be a good deal if you planned on spending 20 bucks for Crysis 1 when it comes out on psn or xbl.

Makes sense, that does suck. It doesn't hurt to e-mail Amazon since all the other versions get it.

The other two titles are not worth mentioning and all all three games will be down to $30 within 2 months.

I wonder if the new Army of Two will be good. I really liked the first one. Then the second one has been sitting around my house. Couldn't get into it so far. I plan on going back to it though.

Dead Space has always had replay value with the second playthrough... It's a totally different experience the second time, since you're less concerned with saving ammo/money/health since you already have good items. I've played through both the prior games 2 times, loved them both times.


Thanks for the heads up OP, was going to buy from BestBuy (even though I hate them with a passion) just to get the 20$ promo. But that also required Unlocked membership, which annoys me as well...

Really? Where did you read that? I probably play Dead Space games slower and more thoroughly than most people, so it'll take me longer, but that does seem short compared to the other games.

Normally I'm a cheapskate on buying games and wait years for them to go $10 or less. Sometimes I cave in at $15, and very rarely will I go to $20 on special titles. The highest I ever paid for any game was $25 for Dead Space 2 as I was having trouble holding out for the price to drop enough. Within 3-6 months after spending $25 it was $10. I still can't justify $37 or $40 on DS3 because I know I'll keep it and it'll be $20-$25 within a year and $10 within 2 years, and the only reason I'm passing is because I'm too cheap and too backlogged with other games, and hearing it's only 10 hours long makes me more inclined to wait too. I hope Bioshock Infinite has a longer single player campaign.

Plus, without pre-reviews, do we know if the PS3 or Xbox 360 version of DS3 plays better or has any exclusives? For DS1 the X360 version played best. For DS2 the PS3 and X360 were identical in gameplay except the PS3 came with Extraction. What's the story with DS3? I haven't checked Eurogamer or LensOfTruth, but I'd be surprised if their head to head reviews are written yet.

The 360 version has kinect voice controls. The PS3 version of Dead Space 2 and Dantes Inferno had extra content. Both of those games were made by Visceral and EA.

i want most of these games... but not willing to deal with bestbuy for them.
the 15$ for unlocked is annoying. they send out the codes/dlc like a week after release (makes selling them hard as hell). they've messed up more of my preorder deals than i can talk about. just simply horrible... hate them.
