Symantec Rebates - "Your rebate request did not pass our audit process"

Hello all,

I recently received invalid notifications on 3 Symantec rebates (more should be coming) all giving the reason "Your rebate request did not pass our audit process". I'm assuming this is 1 product per year thing that McAfee does (or did?) but it says this nowhere in any of the fine print on any of these Symantec rebates. I've contacted parago about this and I waiting for a response but I thought I would start this thread cause I'm sure other people will be in this same boat. If anyone else has any experience with this "invalid reason" or is in this same boat with Symantec, post you experience.

Second that. And I will avoid myrebateonline the best I can. No record of my submission two months after mail-in. I have submitted over 100 rebates to Parago in the last three months and none is missing, and I only did two rebates with myrebateonline and both were lost? Unbelievable. Also they deleted my online account for no reason, and lied to me that the account was still there.

Sorry to be OT, but have anyone received rebates in the past three months from status-now, Kaspersky rebates in particular? All my rebates from November say still in process (except one or two Nero rebates which have shipped out now). IIRC, Kaspersky rebates used to be very fast (like in a month).

In my experience, Kapersky has been terribly slow but I haven't had one denied yet

Kaspersky usually takes close to 3 months to get back.

Regarding Kaspersky rebates, check your tracking if it's been 3 months and you haven't received your rebate. I can no longer track some of my rebates. When I contacted status-now, the response I got is that my account is being audited for doing too many.

This is the first I'm hearing of a Kapersky/Status-Now issue. Did you try anything further after being told you were being audited? Thanks for your input.

The only information they give me is that my account is being audited. This audit does not only apply to Kaspersky. My other rebates with them, such as Arctic Silver from Newegg, cannot be tracked either.

I tried getting more information about their audit process, such as how much time it takes, but got the run around. When I pressed the matter, I got disconnected. I called back to talk to the manager again and was told that she was fixing problems with the phone. I left a number so she can call me when she's done with the phone issue, still waiting on that call, it's been 2 weeks.

My next steps is to call and ask for company name and address so I can file a dispute through the BBB. If that fails, I'm going to try small claims.

I just have the reverse order in preference. I like Parago, then 4myrebate. Wink

I can still see my rebates as far back as July. All mine from December just say they are processing, and my January ones aren't showing up as being received yet. I hope they don't start denying rebates for everyone. I have quite a bit of money out with them right now. I think it is time for me to get out of the rebate game. Sucks, cause it was a easy way to make a few extra bucks reselling the software. It paid for our vacations last year.

Okay, before you read down the quote... I did it kind of quickly but it's a starting point. Feel free to propose any suggestions but I think we should finalize a version of it before we send it anywhere. I also think that we should wait a while to send it, let some more rebates come in so if they dig any deeper it will be too late to change some. Again it's a rough draft but a starting point. Let's get our money back.

Did you call them? I can't find an email to contact them. 5 of my Kaspersky rebates don't even show up at all now.

found it : http://kaspersky.rebateaccess.com...p?t=xxxxxx this is where I can find my rebate now. Says they haven't received my submission yet. Will have to call on Monday.
