The best? No. Makes better coffee than what most people drink. Also depends on beans, grind, and type of water you use.

doesn't boiling water affect the flavor? if you were to taste water right before boiling, and taste it after it was boiled, you would get a completely different flavor, correct? I just figured that would affect it alot.... I had a friend that was or at least he said he was a coffee connoisseur, and always said not to let the water come to a complete boil

i got this from prevous code for the same price.

while the press maker is nice with glass carafe, i dont think this is any good deal or is worth frontpage material. the cups are nice to have but it's not really worth the $4 extra while we could get this same press maker before at $18 (same size) or $16 (12oz) at buydig on the other thread.. you had more color choices too. 2 cups are nice to have. but if i would buy it again, i would go with the 12oz version to save $4. 34oz is too big for our family.

I got my 8cup Bodum (black and older model) for $10 a long ass time ago. Bodum somehow has a lock on french presses (probably their deal with starbucks or maybe some sort of patent thing) but it keeps on hitting the front page..

I love French Press coffee (for me, it's because I do like the oil/nuances of coffee that get soaked away in paper filters, but really, this product is just a glass jar with a metal/plastic/mesh thing. I cant justify how you can't just make a million of these for $2 each in China, which means meritline will sell these for $5 shipped with a 30k-count coupon limit.

2 glass coffee glass mugs (i didn't even know mugs can be glass) doesn't justify the extra cost.. Most will say "eh, $3 a "nice bodum" glass mug, blah blah, but I'm a strong advocate of HATING on BAD FRONT PAGE items, ESPECIALLY the items that hit front page more than once (at the same mother-effing price).. What this tells me is that the price isn't good enough to sell out, which means the deal was not slick, and if it frontpages more than 3 times (within the last 2 weeks?), then this is just SHIT that slickdeals is pushing for their advertisers.. It REALLY means that the people who bought them, made a gamble to buy a bunch and sell them, but didnt get the price they wanted on the sale, and are reluctant to lower the price on them because that's the business of branded merchandise. This set should go for $15 shipped after tax.

I mean how many times does that XBOX card have to be $35 for it to continually hit front page? Is it really a slick deal if that $35 card is worthless when XBOX 720 comes out?
