Nice deal, but does anybody have any recommendations for *quality* knockoffs? Have owned two pairs of the real thing in the last 20 years and have lost both - too painful to pay this much again.
There are a few on Amazon with good reviews. You won't have the same quality lens but the frames shouldn't be too bad considering a $150 pair of glasses won't hold up any better than a $1 pair when they're being stepped on.

I've got a couple pair of RB Wayfarer glasses and while I believe they are very nice, I wear some generic wayfarer rip-offs if I'm doing work or anything very active.

In my opinion you don't need to spend more than about $8 on "generic" glasses. In general there isn't a noticeable improvement in quality buying in the $10 to $50 range. Read reviews, though, of course. Crap is independent of price.

These below have decent reviews.

I don't think I can unsubscribe, resubscribe, and get the 20%...is this correct?
Just apply for a new account via fake email (like with a 10 minute email address or something, google it if you don't know what I'm talking about) and then apply for the discount. Get the code and use it on your normal account. Works great laugh out loud

Thumbs up op!

How are you supposed to measure your face to know which size to get?
I didn't get it either...and the reviews contradict eachother. I tried them on at the mall. Free returns if you get the wrong size anyway.

The both offer 100% UVA protection so its a matter of preference. Polarized lenses make for reading LCD/LED screens a pain IMO...

FYI, Ray-Ban has manufacturing in both Italy and China now. I've never received a pair made in China so I can't speak to their quality, but they should be identical. If you are anything like me, though, you might prefer the Italian versions simply because you think expensive glasses should be made by people earning a fair wage.

I emailed Ray-Ban a while back and this is what they told me:

Thank you for the email. We appreciate your interest in Ray-Ban. We have two different factories that our sunglasses are produced in; one in Italy and one in China. Our glasses can be produced in either of these factories and the determining factor on which facility is used can be changed without notice. However, both locations are held to the same high standards of production and materials. For this reason, we cannot say if you will receive a pair made in Italy or made in China.

Looks like a good deal. but im too broke even for ~$60. My knockoffs from Tilly's are kind of falling apart though. At least those were only $12.
