Mine had a Canon USA warranty/warranty card included, no issues. Apparently some other people didn't have a card/had some grey market ones on subsequent deals through Bigvalueinc though.

With the exception of my T4i and STM lenses, I bought all my stuff from Amazon including the 6D for the reasons you listed. Whoever said Nikon outsells Canon is crazy. Canon sells way more DSLR's. But Canon also seems more user friendly and more name recognition to the average consumer.

even thought the warranty card is there Canon would deny your claim as bigvalueinc. in not authorized reseller

Man, was close to pulling the trigger on this one. Been looking to upgrade to FF - It's been between the 6D and D600. I dabbled looking at the Mark III, but I can't quite justify the price and would rather spend the $1000 on a lens.

I've been Canon for awhile now, but the D600 is more than likely going to be my FF purchase. It's hard to look at the specs of that camera and still decide on the 6D.
