no the bridge is hardwired to your network if you choose to use it, and the lock itself uses zwave. no wifi in any of this gear.

I have had 2 of each of these for about 1.5 years. Hooked up to a Vera zwave controller. They work like a charm. I love being able to walk the dogs without the need for a key or being able to remotely unlock the door if needed. Or get a notification the door was opened/closed and what code was used. Batteries last a pretty long time.

For those wanting motorized deadbolt, Schlage now has those as well. With zwave support.

If it wasn't for the fact all my outside doors already have these, I would have jumped on this without hesitation.

Newb here... I guess a lot of this is assumed, but I'm not in the know...

Link 1 appears to be just the handle,
Link 2 is a deadbolt
Link 3 is a starter kit for wireless.

Can I get just the handle bit and NOT use the wireless or worry that someone else can?
Do I need the starter kit to have the wireless at all?

This is a great price, even if you only plan to use as keypad (not wireless). I have 2 installed and use for keypad only, but even the nonwifi ones typically run around $90. I wish I'd seen this last week when I ordered a third. Not worth the hassle of returning, re-purchasing. TU, OP.

Are the deadbolt (without the full kit) sold out? It says they're not available for shipping.

already answered this, but yes you can use the lock in a standalone mode.

ok. i dont have any/much idea about these other than seeing deals on here. i ordered a couple of the kit for $98. am i good or is there something not in the kit that is in the the other $68 sets?

whichever one you want? may depend on your door or what your current setup is due to fitting. the question between the deadbolt and handle is just that. do you want to unlock the deadbolt via pin or the handle part?

there is a monthly fee for the schlage setup, but these locks can be used with other zwave controllers.
