That's a tough one. You got a good deal. Intel has proven reliability (I'm talking about write endurance) with 5-year warranty as well. This is faster but reliability is not proven yet (because it's new). Also Intel is Sandforce so I think it will handle server/high queue type loads better.

Yeah man, I can wait cz" in the morning, I turn on my desktop which uses (2) 5400RPM HDDs in RAID 0 in my HP Firebird 802 and go into the bathroom to take a piss. When I come back, the desktop is ready to go. Loading Lightroom 4 takes a few seconds of frustration though. I'm still waiting for the day when I can get a 256GB SSD for about $100 but it seems like instead of getting cheaper, these SDDs are getting faster but the prices dont move down much. We want cheaper SSD and not necessarily faster SSD dammit!

Does anyone know if B&H will price match?

Can't believe I have to wait longer for it to be shipped here & pay more!

Yea cheaper SSDs come when they shrink them down. For example the 840 non-Pro, which is TLC and 21nm. But the write endurance is shorter, so that worries me...

Bought the 256GB 830 last year for about this price, no regrets at all.

Waiting for the 500GB 840 Pros to come down in price to upgrade...here's hoping!

Not really, that nand is extremely slow in comparison w/ crappy IOPS. I'd rather run an OS & games off of a 7200rpm drive.

WTF? The m4 is probably the most reliable drive out there. Not sure why you're knocking it.

On a side note, according to the three camels, the Vertex 4 has been as low as $160 in late Nov of last year... If you can find me any evidence it's not on par with this drive, let's see it.

So... yeah, this price is STILL terrible. It's a good price for this drive as I said, but it WILL be cheaper.
