Nice I'll check that out... Do people play the Mortal Kombat games on there? I'm a MK guy although I can play the SF games too.
Yeah your info is a little out of date. GGPO has been king of online arcade emus for a few years now, mostly due to hardcore Street Fighter fans. Here's a link that best pertains to emulating Mortal Kombat for online play: http://shoryuken.com/forum/index....me.123396/
Wow! these are great. How much did cost in the end?
I wish I had the capability.
expense can vary wildly. if I can build something myself, I do like to do that. I built the cabinet, but you can find a real cabinet and refurb it. I built the control panel including the electrical stuff (modded/soldered some xbox controllers), but you can get an ipac or one of these x-arcades. built mine a few years ago, so these are rough figures:
$60 wood (4'x'8 sheets of 5/8" particle board and 2x4s)
$20 spray paint (includes clear coat)
$40 lexan to cover control panel and marquee
$20 printing control panel and marquee
$80 joysticks and buttons
$20 T-molding (the blue stuff on all the edges)
$30 wires and xbox controllers
$10 monitor (got really lucky at a university surplus sale)
Then you need a computer. Doesn't need a ton of horse power.
There were probably some other miscellaneous expenses too...always are for things like this.
Got this thing yesterday and it's GREAT. Quality is perfect and after getting MAME setup nicely they're a ton of fun to play old arcade games on. It seems like many of the people complaining about the quality of these joysticks haven't even used it for themselves, and are just following the lead of other 'arcade enthusiasts'. Like any hobby there are those that insist on only getting the top of the line, and complain about anything that is a product that costs less and allows the hobby to be enjoyed casually.
I'm sure there are better sticks out there (for 2-3 times the money when factoring in 2 joysticks), but I would say these sticks are excellent and I wouldn't hesitate recommending them if they go on sale again.
god damn right this is the lowest 13 years ago i remember these guys and wanted to buy the controller $120 never did and this never goes on sale and now its $59 maybe more after shipping. now its time to put those 300 gigs in mames to use.
what the fark its not even on sale why the hell is this in the damn hot deals!!! got fooled

When you have everything there's very little reason to browse SD unless you like to comment on threads.
If you buy something you don't need that's not a slick deal at all.
Dont buy everything you see on the Front Page,
How many pairs of craftsman bypass loppers do you need???
Worst companies to exist & Never do business with: gearbest - rakuten aka buy - tigerdirect - officemax - Shop4tech
Got the stick and it works fine in mame. It's not very good for fighting games though. Characters keep jumping when I push right. This must be an accuracy issue. I've tried different fighting games and it does the same thing on all of them. Good thing is that I play mostly platformers (button to jump) and shooters (plane) so I haven't notice anything annoying.
