I got around to assembling it only now, after I was able to clear out junk and make space. But I ran into an issue that I couldn't find any clues on from the assembly diagrams or anywhere else on the web. I am hoping you guys can help since you didn't have any issues and this is the only internet thread discussing assembly that I could find!

The L shaped push-up grips that go on the base - do they go IN the big round hole in the base or just rest ON the small hole on the other side? The two ] [ shaped base bars have a small and a large hole on opposite sides. I originally assembled it with the small hole facing up and the L push-up piece resting on it. It was hard to align and tighten it like that, and it looks crooked. Then when I got to the vertical palm-grip handles on the end of the knee-raise forearm rest, I saw that they go IN the big holes with the 20mm bolt on the bottom. So I thought maybe the base also needed to be done like that. But when I flipped the base and tried it, the L remains way too far from the vertical column to attach ! So I am confused.

If anyone could please take a picture of their base, it would help a lot! Or at least let me know what you did.

I wasted a lot of time counting and recounting the washers and thinking that I had used 2 extra somewhere, until I counted them in the assembly instructions and found that yes they use 36 and only ship 34. My package was complete and fully sealed, no other parts missing, except this, which is an error in the very design. This is a good example of the missing quality control with these cheap Chinese products. A single test assembly from a retail package would have shown them their mistake. I guess this is why it was on this fire sale.

Now I am wondering, which are the least important 2 washers that I can skip? I am guessing the knee-raise hand grips.

And yes, it is almost impossible to assemble without a ratchet. The nuts need a 17mm socket FYI.
