Heads up.. You have 1 more day to unlock your iPhone ( or any other phone) legally
http://www.macrumors.com/2013/01/...al-in-u-s/
"As noted by Tech News Daily, a new federal policy in the United States is set to go into effect this Saturday that will make it illegal for certain mobile phone owners to unlock their devices for use on other carriers unless specifically authorized by their carriers. The policy applies to newly purchased devices beginning on Saturday, but not to legacy devices purchased prior to that date."
Big sellers for iPhone unlock codes stopped selling unlocks for US carriers already . They are doing it for Canada only. If you plan unlocking your phone buy it now for $3 or for way more after Saturday.
This applies to anyother phone/platform : Android, Windows phones etc
There is a petition going on about "making unlocking a cellphone legal" at whitehouse.gov. Needs 100,000 signatures.---posted by hp79

use this ebay seller description to check your IMEI.. The only reliable one I've found. All thwe others give you "locked" even if your phone is unlocked just to make you pay twice: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Factory-U...0944441999 This seller used to be the biggest seller for Iphone unlock codes (just google his name ). but he stopped selling in the States ATM.
