how it compared to sony t13 laptop? minus the touch screen
if I'm not mistaken Bank of America has a add it up program that has anywhere from 5 percent 20 percent for Staples. not sure if there are exclusions for laptops.

Plus 5% back in staples rewards depending on region. I could walk away with it spending less than $400 after tax. Wish I can return/rebuy the one I bought in December....

Dammit, why couldn't Asus provide regular RAM slots for memory upgrade? Why did they have to solder RAM onboard?

This has a touch screen, same third gen i3(the u310 might have an i5 depending on the model), smaller screen, lighter and no mSATA. But this doesn't have the bad wifi problem the u310/u410 are known for. This also comes with external DVDRW drive.

The reality is we are holding onto electronics less and less every year. So from their pt of view it saves them money to solder the CPU and RAM right to the mb. With the exception of people on this board most people just get a new machine before upgrading.

I'm in on this one. Moving back from a tablet. Anyone want to buy a barely used Asus Transformer Prime with keyboard dock?

Tempted, but for an i3, I want the price to be ~$350. I'd gladly pay $400 for an i5, but that may be asking too much

Anyone know if this stacks with the $30 off $150 or $25 off $75 coupon?

Almost bought an Open Box Q200e from Best Buy yesterday. Would have been around $390 with tax. But the Best Buy model has the 2nd gen i3. Glad I waited on it. I think this is the better buy with the Ivy Bridge + the external disc drive.

Any chance for OSX ML install?

Of course. Just depends how much headache you're willing to put up with. The touchscreen will be the biggest PITA.

From what I heard, this i3 is as fast as last gen's i5.
