Can anyone confirm this? There's no option to configure a new x230t with IPS nor pen-only. And what's the difference in value/price to get a tablet version of an x230? i'm kinda wondering why the past couple deals for this model at the outlet haven't been so popular even after the price dropped ~$150 (is this actually a repost, with lower prices?).
Uhh... on Lenovo's site, I do see the option to change between screens with either multi-touch or pen only. It is the option for display where you can get either multitouch or outdoor screen for $50, outdoor screen is pen online.

And X230 Tablet vs. regular X230 I think is pretty explanatory, hence the "Tablet" added on to the X230.

No. No laptop with 1366x768 will allow you to comfortably open two anything side by side.
My 15.6 inch laptop with 1366x768 resolution fits two documents fairly comfortably next to each other. You should be careful speaking in absolutes. It makes things sound less credible or believable.

My 30" IPS 2560x1600 fits two doc comfortably.
My 15.6 XPS 1920x1080 just BARELY fits two docs.
With 1366x768, you won't be able to work with two docs.

Did you read my post? Are you using Word with 72 size font?

Yes I read your post clearly.
I am ALSO disagreeing your claim with petard. You cannot comfortably work with 2 docs (size 12font) under 1366x768.

If by "you," you mean me, then you are incorrect and did not read my post clearly. I fit two documents next to each other on my 15.6 inch laptop with completely adequate productivity. I was simply wondering how this translates to a 12.5 inch screen with the same resolution. You would be better off saying, "You cannot always comfortably work with 2 docs (size 12font) under 1366x768." This is exactly why I said people should avoid speaking in absolutes, especially when somebody has already refuted your claim in a previously written post.

Ha, I must admit, I have to agree with your statement.

People who speak in absolutes aren't concerned with how things sound. DOH! I just did it myself...

Our definitions of comfortably vary greatly then. At 100% in word with default settings you can only barely fit the page in, with the margins all cut off. Most of the icons in the ribbon are hidden because there's no room. I find this very uncomfortable. I find 1920 and larger screens comfortable to work with two windows side by side, but I find that below that it gets very uncomfortable to use two of anything.

Different screen size at the same resolution doesn't matter then. It's the same resolution and will display the same amount of information with the same quality. If you find 1366x768 comfortable on one monitor it will be comfortable on any other monitor that isn't miniscule, especially if it's just a 3" difference.
