Click on i5 on the left and change the graphics type to "Dedicated" it should be one of the top ones.

Almost. I was on the border line of buying it and when I decided to, I came back and it was OOS.. It's been OOS on newegg since before the new year. Only the 17 inch version GT635M is there for $550 right now.. At 483, I couldn't pass up this one.

it's not the graphic card, it's the lcd screen, higher resolution in small size is expensive

people up above were saying this is a great deal because it comes with dedicated video card, im saying the card doesnt serve much purpose on a low res screen.

higher res isnt necessarily 'expensive', its just that manufacturers discovered they can make a few extra bucks by putting on cheaper displays while they can still advertise x768 as "HD" and will continue to do so as long as people don't complain and keep buying them. In my eyes more screen real estate is king, whether its for gaming or multitasking. Im typing this from a cheap work dell laptop thats 5 years old with a 14" screen that's 1440x900. things are going backwards my friend.

you are correct.........but the GTX630m is a pretty weak card......at higher res you'll be looking at pretty low settings.

look solid
i feel it will survive if i drop it on the floor (unlike dell)
5400 rpm HDD is what you get on most laptop priced < $800
x768 resolution is kind of standard
no touch is fine for laptop

Try the Latitude line. Those things are very well built.
as for the other parts, standard isn't good enough for me personally.
not saying that x768 isn't bad... i'm ok with it... but it really is hard to work on.
