If you are impatient. I bought mine for about $105, and then two sides for about $150 if I remember correctly. So $255 for 3 of the five, if I wanted 5 & found a similar deal for two more, then it would have cost me just over $400. So, if you want/need 5.0, this is a great deal. I only wanted the three though -- I prefer the RC micro for the surround units, for the discreet size -- so I wouldn't personally jump on this even though it's a good deal.

Although, as a counterpoint, it's telling that this has +7 rating here, and is promoted as a daily dal at ebay, but ebay shows 0 sold so far. Maybe more people think like I do, not interested in 5.0 set.

I also just bought a set of the Take Classics, but would have really preferred this. If the price were to drop to 300 dollars or so, I'd be all over it.

I wouldn't even mind just getting some Veritas Mini for the fronts and leave the Take Classic's as surrounds (though I would really wish I had bought a 7.1 receiver in that case!).

+1. That is how I got a free piano. Owner was moving and just wanted to leave it to someone instead of having to haul it away. I got it tuned and works great.

These are definelty a step up that those and you won't be disappointed at all. It's a great price for the 5.0 setup. Pair it up with an Onkyo or Denon receiver with a powered subwoofer and you will have an awesome 5.1 setup under $850

You will spend the money eventually, as soon as you grow out of the takes that is. I had RC-Micros for a few years before I got the itch to go bigger. $100 isn't that much more for the jump in sound quality, especially if you already have a sub to pair it with.
