Yeah that was their initial excuse, but it's been a while since that point and they're still having supply problems. That 4k a day has to be a bogus estimate, because I just saw something about them doing 100% UK production at 40k a month or something. It's been fairly clear that these guys are way out of their league and that no matter how much time they have it won't change that fact or alleviate their problems or make their excuses vanish.

Ironically I ordered when it showed no stock and got it in less than a week. So it's probably just Newark that has a crappy system.

I know in Debian you can overclock to 1ghz. (you might be able to do the same in Raspbmc) I am a noob when it comes to linux, but I'm slowly learning....

EDIT: It seems like Raspbmc lets you do that too. Loads 1080p movies in 9 seconds vs. 13 seconds. FWIW
