just curious, did you get this from BB in pleasant hill? I had one and then returned it...as far the machine, i liked it, but some niggling concerns made me move over to the dell xps 12...the lack of a back lit keyboard was big for me...the partitions are crazy, the fan noise wasnt much of an issue for me - honestly didnt even notice it, and the touchpad was a little flaky, especially when using two fingers and when trying to use the scrolling with it. Otherwise it is great machine, in my short time with it, didnt seem slow, touch screen was responsive, loved the versatility, weight was good, but too big to use as an everyday tablet...but overall a pretty slick machine by lenovo.

Did you scratch it on the top, which looked like some chocolate or coffee finger print if don't look close? If so, it might be yours.

does it bother you that the xps 12 lacks a SD slot for additional storage?

hmmm, no not sure how it even got there....but i recall seeing that and wondering how did it get there??? crazy coincidence! So you know, other than that i took great care of it....still should be pretty much "new."

No, does not bother me at all...i have another computer for off loading data and for needing additional space. The xps will have a specific use for me that does not matter if there is an sd slot or not...dont get me wrong it would be nice to have...but back lit keyboard, 1080p screen, widi, and metal exterior is nice to have too...while i am at it...it would be great if the xps had an hdmi out...but oh well.

i wanted the "tablet" option, and i really wanted it to stand in a position that would face opposite of the keyboard with touch functionality...its great when im in bed and watching something on the computer...its my laziness. I also thought about the asus taichi...but man its taking forever to come out and you pay an even greater premium price for it.

You can't upgrade the warranty to on-site or accidental, nor is it extendable to three or five years. IWS is not applicable. You can get a post warrant extension, but it's like $170 plus tax for one year. Still if you want a Yoga, it's a 20% discount if you can live with the one year warranty.

hmm, just saw you said it is Pleasant HIll, but i got it from Emeryville. I remember that I saw one on Pleasant Hill open box inventory a month ago but it was sold when I called them. So it looks like it was returned twice before I got it.

nah, i dont think you got mine, i returned mine to PH very recently, like earlier this week, so unless they are shuffling inventory around you dont have the one i turned in. hmmm..i guess they scuff, scratch somewhat easily as well.

Then it is not yours. I just checked the box, on which it is said the device was inspected on 01/16/2013.
This goes so fast! I called PH on Thurs or Fri. The girl answered phone told me that they had two open-box Yoga but after she tried to confirm it with the people at computer section she said they were gone.

isn't it a sweet ass deal since it cums with a 1 year warranty instead of a typical 90-day warranty for refurbs?
