Ozeri Gen II Digital Bath Scale w/ with Body Weight, Fat, Hydration and Auto Recognition $21

I had purchased this on impulse, but cancelled after delving into the reviews.

I went with this scale instead for $8 more:

How is the accuracy of measuring body fat? I'm a little skeptical as I'm sure there are other factors other than 'sending electrical impulse to measure water/fat content'

The scale picks up the percentage of the current that passes through and uses whichever formula they use and give you another percentage at the end.

I ordered one and then saw some of the negative comments on this thread and also on amazon.com. Then I did my own research on several other consumer sites and came to realize this product is horrible. Immediately cancelled my order. Thank goodness.

Would have definitely regretted this.

What specifically is horrible about it?

That one may be better, it has a lot more reviews, but it does have 30 pages of one star reviews.

Was able to get it for $20.96 with free saver s&h. Not sure why, but it worked. Used amazon app to order, just an FYI.

Not sure about all the negative reviews on this scale, I've had one for 2 years and also gave one as a gift that the owner loves...used daily and no problems at all.

jjj444yes, you've bashed this deal 3 times and gave reps to OneIsntEnough for their comment.

Based on your generic comments that could apply to any digital bathroom scale I'm going to say you don't and never actually owned this scale but clearly have have it out for this company. Why don't you tell us what they actually did to you instead of just trolling?

Now I'm compelled to spend a bit of time trying to undo your spread of paranoia.

I've owned this scale for well over a year. Bought it from an REI used gear sale for about the same price. Have not had any problems with it. True, the fat% may not be accurate, but based on my habit of trying different diets I can tell it's precise for tracking daily changes. No scale at this price is going to be significantly more accurate. The technology isn't there. And unlike what the op says, you don't have to tap it to turn on. Just step onto it and stand still. It's starting to show a tiny bit of rust in one or two spots in the grooves of the brushed metal where your wet feet stands but it's easy to scratch off with a wire sponge and acceptable given the moist environment. I'm still running on the batteries that came with it (cheap China generic). I don't pay attention to the hydration feature much but have noticed that it's also precise in tracking daily changes.

Overall, I'd recommend this product to anyone. It looks good (in my opinion). I don't have to do the toe tap to turn it on. And tracks my fat% precisely.

And just to drive home the point that you can't just throw out statements like "garbage product" without reasoning or proof of actual ownership, I'm attaching a picture of my scale so you know I actually own it and have experience using it.
