Good deal. Alfred Brendel is one of the pre-eminent pianists of the 20th century, especially noted for his work with Beethoven, Schubert and Mozart, and some of his works are in this set.

Also, has some works by the Yale String Quartet and the Vienna State Opera Orchestra (from which the Vienna Philharmonic draws its members).

Even though I have at least 60% of the tracks already from previous Mozart MP3 albums on sale cheap, I guess it's worth getting a few more concertos for 99 cents since I had $1 credit to use before the end of this month. I'm glad this deal was posted as I don't regularly check for new Amazon MP3 albums.

I will say I'm very disappointed these people who put out these compilations have the gall to count each variation as an individual piece (as in Variations on Duport's Minuet). So Beethoven's 32 variations on a waltz by Diabelli would count as 32 pieces? I despise variations being in separate tracks, and if I ever had time I would combine them into 1 file.

Yes, Alfred Brendel is a good pianist and one of my favorites, but I still like Ashkenazy's more dramatic and heavier style. The recent comment on Amazon posted saying the price will jump from 99 cents to $7.99 (or $9.99) is completely accurate, and we'll see if Amazon edits that post when that happens to remove the past pricing info.

Definitely worth the price and effort. It sounds better using Foobar 2000 desktop player. It wasn't that great on Windows Music Play or VLC.
