I got this from another deal site - is that ok? Except for being from TigerDirect, it looks like a good deal, lower than anybody but Frys'; I don't know if it is still 599 B&M there. I live in the Chicago area, so tax would be almost 80 dollars, but if you don't have a TD in your state, it would be 699.99 after coupon code ILA81892. Maybe people could ask Amazon to PM... somebody take this down if I did it wrong...

My two cents, I like the LM6700 better....I have a pair of these for my basement (which admittedly haven't been opened since the room is still under construction) and a 6700 currently running in our bedroom. I run a Plex server at the house and the 6700 is able to stream 1080p wirelessly from the floor below w/o hiccup through either Plex DLNA or through Plex Media Link. I'm extremely happy (or maybe ecstatic is more appropriate) with the results. Now between the two models, you trade a better picture in the 6700 for a dual core google platform in the G2. Since the 6700 seems to have enough rear end for the 1080p processing (in my set up at least), I'd go with that model for cheaper and it's super slick looking IMO. The screen is rather glare-y though....

PS - I scored my 6700 from Frys for $600, and it's been on sale for that price a couple additional times in the last month.

BUT....if you are a discriminating TV watcher...not so good

My understanding is that the 6700 is a 60hz panel...and the "tru motion" is done by a scanning backlight vs the TV processing repeating the actual frames to reduce blur...ala Samsung and Sony

CNET doesnt hate LG...they have given some good reviews( for the price) on several models

the LM7600....and a few other older models...LE8500...LH90
Generally speaking ...their plasmas are better TV's..IMO...than their LED/LCD counterparts in the last couple of years

I have the LE8500..its a great TV and I agree with its shortcomings as states by CNET

Not sure about hates, but they are harsh toward LG TVs and seem to have a mean-on for Panasonic LED TVs. Dontknow

Of course those are uber expensive.

Loves my LG HDTV and monitor, best I've purchased.

LG does mislabel their 120 MHz and 240 MHz as they are usually half of that when in normal use but kick it into 120 MHz or 240MHz or 480MHz gear when using TruMotion to eliminate the blur. Frankly I'm tired of what is true and what is false and what is kinda sorta. If it works for you it works and LG is working great for me currently.
