I got in on this deal last month. The included soundbar isn't worth a damn, and Fry's has had hot deals on this same set without the soundbar for $549 (LG 47LM4600).

Still this is a good set for a good price!

So upon first glance, I was very pleased. Bright screen, good colors, great viewing angle, easy setup. Then I started getting more technical, and played around with the settings... turns out my LG TV that was advertised as having 120hz refresh rate and "TruMotion", in fact, didn't. Unlike many I know, i like the motion technology that can smooth out the frames and give it the "Soap Opera Effect", which I believe is a much clearer picture. However, even though it was advertised, my TV did not include this feature, and no matter what the source (HD cable, Blu-Ray, Etc) it never showed output at anything above 60hz. My biggest issue however was calling LG to express my displeasure and try to get this fixed/replaced... they tried to convince me it was built in to the tv, and it was there, and I was an idiot, despite me telling them I have friends and family who have LGs where I can easily find and adjust the TruMotion feature and notice a huge difference in picture quality. A little internet searching shows that there are thousands of people in the same boat as me, and even software updates didn't fix the issue. Finally took it back to the store, and despite being beyond the return window, they gave me store credit so I could get a superior Samsung. BTW, 3 calls to LG service, and all 3 times they decided they would rather argue with me and tell me I'm wrong than try to discuss options to fix the situation, and ALL 3 TIMES I was hung up on. Horrible.

I have the 47LM4600 (no soundbar version, not sure if the screen is identical).

The 120Hz is fake and the quality of the 3D is awful, I was very disappointed by that. On the other hand it is at least an excellent 60Hz 1080p TV with nice features and good color accuracy, deep blacks, etc. But I'd recommend spending your money on a better 2D TV if a deal comes along.

This! Here is some more information [rtings.com] on refresh rates and also about motion blur and how it is corrected. A good read but definitely states why refresh rates are mis-advertised and how they show it justified, by the made up numbers.

I bought the LM4600 couple months ago when it was $550 without the sound bar. Pleased with the colors, black levels, UI, and form factor! Blacks won't be as good as a Samsung or plasma, but plenty good to save yourself hundreds of dollars. Being a new model should mean an even more impressive TV.
