I searched around slickdeals and did not find anything about this.
So here goes......

I went to Best Buy to purchase an iPhone 5 16GB with the 10% coupon on Open Box items since they had it listed online at $594.99.
I was looking at the options because they had both the colors and had different carriers as well, ATT/Verizon/Sprint!
Then the Mobile department manager said that the phone was $494.99, and I asked if I could use the 10% coupon.
He said this was already a discount and cannot be combined with the 10%.

I have attached the receipt for reference/price-match purposes!

I know ATT had these for $399, but this is the best price at the current moment for me! The phones ranged from being 1 week old to 1 month old!
These come with the original box, brand new charger, ear pods, and cable unlike the ATT deal!

Hope somebody is able to score it at the same price!

Yes, they qualify foe AppleCare+ - but only within 30 days of purchase. And, you have to take it to an Apple store for inspection.

For the normal warranty - If you send Apple a copy of your receipt they will update the warranty to start from your purchase date.

I bought open box iphone 5 for verizon. Got the 10% off 595 plus BB gave me 280 trade in for my 4s. The open box phone still had plastic on front and back plus accessories had not been opened. They said customer changed mind on color after they opened box. Phone never left store. Basically new iphone 5 for decent price. Not a slick deal but I wanted a no contract phone to save verizon unl data.

checked south OC. open box iphone 5 is $594. plus they make you tie it to an att phone# before letting you leave the store.

at that price, better off buying from apple.

I have a question, what if the earlier person who brought the phone registers it with apple... I purchased one yesterday and was already activated in December

I just got back from Bestbuy and got one in perfect condition for 428$ out the door! One person mentioned I needed an AT&T phone number then he talked to another guy that said it was ok. They said they couldn't use the 10% open box coupon for some reason, but I was happy to get it for 428

I want to know how you got this for $428? Someone mentioned $100 off but could not find that from their website. Did your iPhone 5 sell for $399 as open box?

It was 390.99 before tax. It came with everyone and is in perfect condition. I went online and checked their open box stuff at a bunch of stores and found one that was cheap so went and got it. The guys working there were pretty surprised how cheap it was.

The Best Buy I got mine at for 391 now have one for 351. I might just have to go get it. I'm surprised no one is liking this thread. It got me a great deal on one, and I'll probably buy another at a great price.
