Anyone know if there is a big difference in image quality between the lenses offered in this bundle and the 18-135stm lens?
I know stm lenses offer quicker and quieter autofocus (ideal for video) but I am more concerned about image quality and sharpness of photos |

Canon's stm lenses work best for this camera for video from what i read since it offers the quickest and quietest autofocus. Otherwise with other lenses you will hear the sound of the lens trying to focus in your videos.
I was waiting for an 18-135mm stm lens bundle but this deal was too good to pass up. Do any of you photography enthusiasts know if the 18-135mm stm lens offers better picture quality in terms of video and photos? |

I had a return from a BuyDig purchase once over the holidays. Man, it was like pulling teeth to get that credit back. Anyway, never hurts to be an informed consumer when it comes to stuff like this. Sometimes it's important to understand exactly how much you don't know.

I have a T4i and really like it. Takes wonderful shots and lots of options for setting things up and maneuvering through menus just the way you like. I picked up a 5D Mark ii, but have not opened it yet. Considering whether or not to keep the upgrade. I don't do much video and take a LOT of indoor pics, so I find I'm continuously upping my ISO to 1600/3200 range (with manageable noise). Anyway, that's my debate at the moment. |

I initially bought my T4i with the 18-55 lens. 1 month later, the kits with the 18-135stm started going on sale. I sold my first T4i kit and picked up the new one with the 18-135 and have never looked back. Pics and movies are excellent. |

5D mark ii is still a good camera but I noticed Mark iii has lot more upgrades which they learned what camera needed from the mark ii. For extra 1000 I bought it and I have been loving it with 26500 iso range. "Take me to the Brig. I want to see the "real Marines". " -Chesty Puller

Ok thanks for the tip on the returns and for all the feedback on the 18-135stm lens. I will be keeping my eye out on a good deal for that lens.
But I know yhe best deals for that lens are usually bundled with the t4i so I hope I do not regret pulling the trigger on this deal. Either way from what I hear t4i is a great beginner dslr |

I went with the 6d, if nothing else because i wanted better wide end on the 24-105 and i wanted better high ISO jpg capability. I can only imagine the 5dmk3 being an even better camera with its autofocus and build quality, but i couldn't justify the extra $1k when 2 features i wanted (GPS and WIFI) weren't included. |

I might be using video once in a while, but action and candids for the most part. GPS and wifi are also just 'extras' for me. I really like the specs on the 5D's focus system (41 cross points vs 1), 61 focus points (vs. 6D's 11), 1/8000 vs 1/4000 max shutter speed, and 6FPS vs 4.5FPS. Still trying to justify a $3500 purchase though...
