Anyone know if there is a big difference in image quality between the lenses offered in this bundle and the 18-135stm lens?

I know stm lenses offer quicker and quieter autofocus (ideal for video) but I am more concerned about image quality and sharpness of photos

I have a T4i and really like it. Takes wonderful shots and lots of options for setting things up and maneuvering through menus just the way you like. I picked up a 5D Mark ii, but have not opened it yet. Considering whether or not to keep the upgrade. I don't do much video and take a LOT of indoor pics, so I find I'm continuously upping my ISO to 1600/3200 range (with manageable noise). Anyway, that's my debate at the moment.

LIke another guy said a bit ago, I've returned this and tried a Sony A57. By far better at video because of the new fixed mirror technology, and, in my opinion, better at photos. The more I use it, the more I like it. Check out the A57 reviews on the camera review sites. Anyway, check it out before you buy. I know some who liked the Nikon better, but for me, a lifetime Nikon user, it has been a revelation.

Thank you for all of your advice. I've been researching web site for a few weeks. Nothing as helpful as this you hit on every thing I was questioning. I guess web site blogs and web sites don't think of purchases like slickdealers do.

I do plan on shooting video. Originally I was shopping for a camcorder. The limited selection at staples made me look into slr cameras instead. Next month I'll have about $800 in staples rewards and $120 in gift cards. My plan was to use that and if needed upto $200 cash. At the moment staples doesn't sell the D5200. I'm figuring they would have it by feb or march otherwise there's no debate I'll be getting a t4i.

The Canon lens might be the part that gets me into a t4i. I wouldn't mind building up a small collection of lens. If I got into photography or more serious about video I could always upgrade the body.

Would youbalso be able to advise a lens that would be optimized for shooting video indoor? We plan on recording us interviewing people at charity events and simple stuff like that. No sports action or anything crazy.

How are you liking it? Been seriously contemplating a similar jump from a T3i to the 5DMkIII for a while...
