Kindle Special Offers: Free $5 account credit for watching preview of "Monday Mornings"

thanks for the heads up, I usually look at the offers and the free app of the day but I just haven't today.

I have the Kindle Fire HD and I don't see any $5 thing in offers. Offers subscription is on too.

this doesn't relate at all but, If I were to pay $15 to remove special offers (advertisements, etc) would I be able to add a lock screen wallpaper/home screen wallpaper to my kindle fire hd?

An interesting thing I noticed: After I re-subscribed to offers, as described in genericadm's post/repost, (when I'd previously paid $15 to opt out after a few days of owning the device), I could swear I now get a lower level of ad placement than with the original ad-supported version of my Kindle Fire HD. That is, although the lock-screen (screen saver) ads now appear again, I'm no longer harassed by ads below the carousel, or seemingly anywhere beyond the lock-screen.
Thus, I no longer mind leaving it in resubscribed mode, where I can see the offers on the lock screen (or by clicking the small arrow at the far right end of the menus above the carousel), but I'm no longer forced to see the ads elsewhere once I've unlocked the device. (Assuming this change holds up beyond the hour or so since I've resubscribed.)
Am I correct in remembering that K Fire HD's purchased as ad-supported devices DO show ads below the carousel?
(I don't mean to wander too far off topic. But this only came up because of the discussion on how to see this topic's special offer if we had opted out.)

My KFHD7, purchased without ads (+$15), still showed "Recommendations" under the carousel when viewed in portrait orientation. Those got tiring real fast, so I shut them off. SETTINGS > APPLICATIONS > AMAZON HOME RECOMMENDATIONS > HIDE.

Now there's a beautiful quiet in place of annoying recommendations.

No, I also have the original Kindle Fire. But when I go to Manage Your Devices in my amazon account (from my computer) there is nothing in the Special Offers column for that device. Only for my KFHD, and for my Kindle Touch (both indicating "Subscribed" at the moment; but no indication of anything in the original Kindle Fire row.) Sorry!
