Just checked offers on my Fire 8.9 HD and watched the short "Monday Mornings" video.
(This offer will appear on Kindle Fire or Kindle Fire HD with Special Offers--it sometimes take a few minutes for all the offers to populate your system.
Can "synch" your Fire to make it keep checking for new info if it doesn't show up right away)
After you watch it there's a tab on the bottom of the screen that says: Get Treated
With a $5 Amazon Discount
Thank you for watching the TNT Monday Mornings video on your Kindle. To make you Mondays better please enjoy $5 off you next Amazon purchase!
Just tap "Redeem Offer" below and you'll receive a $5 discount automatically applied to your Amazon account, which can be applied to you next qualifying purchase on Amazon.com!
This offer is valid for a limited time only You must redeem the promotional code for the discount on you Kindle Fire or Kindle Fire HD with Special Offers no later than 11:59 p.m (Pacific Time) on February 4, 2013. After you click on the "Redeem Offer" button you get the message: "Thank You! You will receive your Amazon.com discount email shortly."
Comment: This did not show up in any of my Amazon credit categories, but email says it is there for next physical purchase, just need to use it by end of day on March 6th.
Thanks OP and Never check these and would have missed out if not for your post.
It looks like you can now subscribe to Special Offers if you didn't originally buy it with it. It is compatible with the Kindle Keyboard up, but for some reason, it looks like the original Kindle Fire is not compatible, but the 2nd (current) generation of it is. One thing they don't say though is whether you get any kind of credit when you sign up or if you eventually unsubscribe, will they charge you to take them off?
Edit: When I click to subscribe my wife's Kindle Keyboard, it says it will receive the offers and can unsubscribe at any time. So it makes me believe that if you bought an unsubsidized add-free kindle, you can add the offers, but you will not get a credit for doing so and you can then unsubscribe for no cost. Can anyone confirm?
I did this and it worked. I have a Kindle Fire HD 7" purchased without Special Offers (paid extra $15). To see Special Offers, I went to "Manage Your Devices", changed "Special Offers" to subscribed. I restarted my device, and when it came back up, the "Special Offers" were on the unlock screen and reachable through "Offers" in the menu bar. I opened the Monday Mornings offer and got my $5 bonus. Then I went back and unsubscribed from "Special Offers" and they're gone from the device again. No bonus for subscribing and no penalty for unsubscribing.
I have a 7" fire with SO. I ended up watching the video 2x because the final page with the get treated offer did not show up for me. Only thing that showed up was a black screen with a blue terms and conditions hyperlink.
But I did get the offer on the 2nd try. Thanks. I also would have ignored this since its just an unmarked ad.
