looks like a nice deal....just wish it had duplex scanning as well...dreaming i guess...any alternatives that have duplex scanning that you guys would recommend??

This is a HL-2280DW with an automatic document feeder. The 2280 has been in lots of deals and mine has been amazingly solid for the past year and a half or so. The Linkyo toners from supermediastore.com work well, and go on sale for $10 every once and a while.
Edit: Apparently this one also has a fax, unlike the 2280. They both take TN-450 toners though. |

So if I recycle ink cartridges today can I use them on this printer? Or do the ink rewards come later?

I don't scan stuff too often, but the scanning/copier feature is certainly nice to have around if it'll save you a few trips to FedEx. |

Man I have been waiting for one of these, this is going to be perfect for my home office. Thanks OP!
It does look like the high yield toner carts are only 2,600 pages, but not that bad considering how much the generic ones are, and I've had much better luck with generic toner than generic inkjet cartridges. |

Can the toner be refilled on this printer? Some of the newer printers make it almost impossible to refill the toner even with the tape trick.

I got 1,200 copies out of my Canon all-in one MF4400 series from a starter toner cartridge, so I'm sure you can get more. It's been saying replace toner for at least 200 pages, but it keeps printing. Go figure. I think I might pick this one up for the home though. The Canon doesn't have wireless.

How good of a deal is this? I'm just looking for a laser printer with a copy and scan function. Duplex and wireless are not required, but would be icing on the cake. Is this the best price I'm going to get for a printer with these features?
