Create a 2nd LIVE membership on the 2nd Xbox. It may alert you that you qualify for a FREE 1-month of Gold. Add the payment info and just remember to go and set auto-renewal to off.

There's also a 2-month Gold for $2 that you can stack with this.

Edit: Doesn't seem the $2 for 2 months would stack. It's either one or the other. I currently have the FREE 1-month Gold on a secondary account and tried this. I believe I'd need to wait until the END of the Free month before adding the $2 deal. ....D'oh!, just remembering the $2 is ONLY for Silver memberships.

there is no confirmation that a new console is coming this year only rumors, it is possible but microsoft has not said for sure this year. That said xbox 360 has at least a couple years of life left whether or not a new console/subscription comes out.

The Live membership will only enable you to access the Netflix app. You will of course need a Netflix subscription to actually view Netflix content.

they didnt change xbl when it went from xbox to xbox360. yes this will work with the next xbox no reason MS would open that can of worms.

With all do respect, everything above is a bunch of hearsay. No release dates are set for either console, all speculation. Nor do you know with 100% certainty that Sony will not CHARGE for their next generation of online. Microsoft is CURRENTLY competitive with a paid model while the competitors are free. Why couldn't they be competitive next generation too? Every company wants as much of your money as possible for as little delivered as possible, including Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft. Its called value and perceived value - so stop calling certain companies greedy.

I say this as a person who owns all 3 consoles and plans to own all the new ones too (in due time, depending on price). If anything, what WOULD put a lot of egg on Microsoft's face would making all those XBL cards and accounts worthless.
