How does this compare to a G5? I've been using my g5 for around 5 years now, and it's never missed a beat. I've been thinking about upgrading though. I've kinda had my eye on the Naga Hex since I'd like a few more assignable buttons and it looks like that one has a pretty usable layout. Would I gain anything over the G5 by getting the 400 or should I wait for a deal on something else?

similar shape but can't not adjust DPI with software.

love my MX518, but it developed an annoying "double click" issue with the right mouse button. Upgrade to this, or the G500?

I've had some issues with optical mice vs a mouse sporting a laser diode. Are there any drawbacks nowadays with optical sensors? The G9 that I've had for a little over five years is on its last leg and I was in the market for a quality mouse for gaming and graphic design purposes. The last Logitech optical mouse that I purchased died within a year of purchasing so I've been hesitant with optical mice.

Got one. Great for the price. Although the scroll wheel and feet fade quickly. I use it as my backup to my steelseries sensei

Anyone know how the G400 is vs the Deathadder? I've been using a G500 for several years now and I'm thinking about getting another mouse as a backup or just to try something different.

If you are into gaming, especially FPS, this mouse has one of the best sensor out there as of now.

I've had this mouse for a couple of years. I had to get it replaced because of a bad wire. It's a well-documented problem, but Logitech was good about replacing my mouse.

Laser mice are more popular, but if you have really sensitive ears like me, then optical is the only way to go. The laser Logitechs (G500, G9x, etc) emit an annoying, high-frequency whine.

I was in the same situation. Honestly it's more of a sidegrade than anything but it's nice to have a newer mouse. Theoretically a laser loses precision at high speed tracking or something like that versus optical. I haven't really been able to tell the difference.

It was the optical versus laser and the thought of having extra buttons that sold me but then you have to realize that this mouse wheel doesn't tilt so you don't really gain any buttons.
