The swing is very good for the first 3-4 months. After daily use, the swing start to develop noise from the metals. When the swing is in motion, the legs tend to sway along and create friction noise over time. Sometimes, I had to adjust/shift the legs to eliminate the noise. Overall, it's a good buy for 99$. I paid almost retail at amazon.
the baby doesnt want to sleep in the swing since she was 6 months. If I had to do it over again, I would've gotten this: http://www.amazon.com/Graco-Sweet...raco+sw or a mamaroo |

I bought this at the beginning of the month for our newborn for almost $40 more. I can't speak for long-term durability, but it's absolutely essential on those rare occasions when nothing else will calm her. It's been a godsend really.
I ordered site to store, then leveled with the clerk and told them that I'd prefer a pricematch. They confirmed the UPC on my old receipt matched the item, and gave the credit. Thanks OP! |

Instead of this model, we got the butterfly and lights one (http://www.walmart.com/ip/Fisher-...y/13227369). The prices on these vary almost daily, but the snugga and all the other flavors are usually $99 every other week or so. It's WalMart - they vary prices daily on many items.
The music on this one loops over and over (at least for the hour I had it on), although it intermixes with animal sounds (crickets and whatnot). As a side note, the lights are far brighter than I thought, and I might reconsider getting them, if I stumble on a time machine. As others have mentioned, the motors on these are not the greatest. I miss the old spring-crank ones my children had vs these battery powered ones for my grandchildren. Only 2 weeks in and I swear the motor is swinging less forcefully. It is really slow to start, although it has been from the get-go. On a positive note, this thing is rock-solid stable and very hard to tip over without doing it on purpose. The seat, especially the bunny one, is really really padded and has to be crazy comfortable. They also are easily removable for cleaning. The multiple positions (it's really only 2, the third is simply a reverse of the first) are impressive. Great for our little granddaughter who sometimes wants to rock side to side and sometimes front to back. |

I bought this for my 1st baby in 2011 and would HIGHLY recommend it. My son loved it! Great features--it swings from side to side or you can turn it and swing it front to back, it has a mobile, it plays music/sound effects, and it has a mirror which my son really enjoyed. I had no problems with it, it was easy to assemble, and at the time I paid about $160 so this is a great deal. We plan on using it again in the future with our 2nd baby

Great Customer Service
We had motor problems so we just called the Fisher Price customer service and they sent us a new motor house... free. |

Motor lasts IF YOU PUSH IT FIRST!
It clearly states in the directions that you should give the swing a push before turning on the motor - yet even I see comments and replies which say that "sometimes I push it manually." This is the reason for the motor "problem" - customer misuse. Not poor quality. The motor is strong enough to maintain the swing so long as you prime it first with an initial push. Mine has lasted with no problems, with heavy babies! I wouldn't hesitate to get this - although they quickly out grow it, it's invaluable for those first weeks. This price is the lowest I've seen. I am a single handed stimulus package
yes, I shop that much. but I share the joy. ![]() |

We didn't even know the seat was adjustable, hubby found that accidentally when our baby was around 2-3 months ![]() Last edited by Xarthan; 01-29-2013 at 04:57 AM.. |

I can't compare to other swings since I've only had this one (and a travel swing from my first child - and this is night and day to that) - but I'm extremely pleased with the swing so far. I earned a lot of brownie points yesterday with this from my wife - I may even get to (dare to dream) sleep in this weekend! Best use of my fantasy football winnings yet - should I send Peyton Manning and Calvin Johnson thank you's? Best slickdeal: stole lunch money from kid on bus. used lunch money to bet on a horse. used winnings from horse race and got a case of Budweiser and a lotto ticket. got drunk. won the lotto. added hdmi.
