This has me wondering if the lack of better screen adjustments and quattron is worth the $1200.00 difference in price. I suppose I could do a lot with the extra cash if I pull the trigger on this. Hmm... I might cancel my 847U order...
$1200 is a big difference, and most reviewers say Quattron adds nothing. However, that 847U of yours also has 3D and 240Hz, the latter of which a lot of people also say adds nothing. http://reviews.cnet.com/flat-pane...18015.html
Sounds like if you don't need 3D, the 640U might be a better buy.
The 600U is $400 cheaper than the 640U, but I'm not sure if the lack of screen adjustments and supposed worse picture and black levels (according to avsforum users) justifies saving $400.
I bought this Sharp on the BF 2012 from Walmart for $100 more. It does lack sophisticated screen adjustment but I have been more than happy with the quality of the picture. I also own a 55" Samsung 8000 series, and literally I can't tell the difference in quality. Added a Roku XS to the TV and it is as smart as any other smart TV!
