Help with Corel WinDVD Pro 11
If I have a movie on pause and then turn off my television, Corel will stop. I couldn't find a setting to change this in the program. Is there a setting to change this?In case any of this matters, I have a blu-ray drive in my computer which is hooked up to a television via HDMI cable running Windows 7 Last edited by RUsum1; 01-28-2013 at 08:45 AM.. i don't have that problem on my monitor and projector.
but it only stops on me when standby/sleep/hibernate, can't find a better solution yet, but the "resume settings" change to "always start from last position" works for me, but i still prefer it won't stop. i think maybe your video card setting or TV settings make WinDVD stops, because can't detect any device connected? i just tried to unplug the HDMI cable of my projector, it still won't stop. so, more likely it's the video card setting? are you using the TV's sound? maybe that's the problem i guess(i didn't test this one) Last edited by Miruki; 01-31-2013 at 07:27 PM.. |

Yes I'm using the TV sound. Also using an nVidia GeForce 430 video card. HDMI cable from card directly to TV. Not sure where to change the video card settings or even what to look for. Any advice? It's not the biggest of deals, just a minor inconvenience. The only reason I have to do it is because I'm in a really small condo that was built in 1978. The outlet that has my HTPC, TV, router, modem, gigabit switch, Airave is also the same circuit that my above the stove microwave is plugged into. I don't think they had in mind all of this on one circuit back in the 70s. A microwave and a 59" Plasma can take a toll on a circuit if I want to heat up some popcorn in the middle of the movie so I have to pause it and turn off the television so the breaker won't trip.
