Thread Details

Since I heard Target marks down baby items on clearance on Monday's, I decided to swing by on my way to work. I found the Baby Jogger City Micro Strollers on clearance for only $50.04. This stroller is normally $199! I've seen another post stating it was marked down to $99, so I'm so glad I waited it out! The location I went to is in Sunnyvale, CA and I believe they had about 8 strollers on the shelf. I just hope I got the silver/black one and not blue since I'm having a baby girl. The color is not indicated on the box, so we'll see what I have when I get home.

This is a link to the stroller on their website: http://www.target.com/p/baby-jogg...A-14180854

Well, I was at target searching for this stroller today for my soon to be here grandson. I noticed a Britax B-Agile/ Britax B-safe travel system sitting in clearance.

http://www.target.com/p/britax-b-...ax+b+agile

So I had a guy that was nearby with a gun to come over and scan it for me to see how much it was, there wasn't a sticker on it. He says it will not show up at all in the system, must have been an online order and he is sorry but he is not sure of the price. I kept pressing him to get me a price as I may buy it, so he calls the manager I guess on his radio and she says yes it was an online item, there should be a sticker on it, he told her it wasn't and it won't come up in the system, so she tells him to find something comparable to it, use that UPC or whatever to ring it up and give me 30% off of that price.

So he is looking at the baby stuff, he was looking for something of the same brand, and all they had was a booster seat by britax that was $41.09...so he rang that up and took 30% off it. I got the britax travel system for $28.76 plus tax!!!

Mine has 4 left, but are still marked at $99. When I check with the scanner, they are no longer in the system. My previous experience at my Target is they will go by the last sticker price if it is no longer in the system. Very rarely do they take the effort to investigate with their LRT to see what the true last price was.

Emeryville, CA has at this moment about 9 left marked at $99.98. I asked around and finally was referred to a team leader who scanned them and found that they are not in the system and are meant for salvage. The salvage folks just hadn't gotten around to it yet. The team leader sold one to me for $50 + tax, but she told me I could *NOT* return it. She also said that now that she knows they're there and they're meant for salvage, she'd be taking them off the shelves today.

Smilie I got one through CL for $80 delivered (listed for $100 I told them I knew how much they got it for and they sold it to me for $80).
Sometimes it's not worth my time/gas to drive around looking for deals, especially for new moms. Then again if the baby wasn't here, I would hit every single Target for the same deals. (I only hit one)
Just a thought for those you who really want one.

I actually sold it to my cousin for $50 (what I paid plus gas for the trip there). He has a baby on the way also. We bought this safety 1st travel system a few months back for the grandson, I have read good things about the car seat as far as safety and such, and my daughter seems happy with it. I compared both car seats today and I do believe I like the onboard air 35 better, of course the britax stroller sure is nice, but my cousin really needed something, his wife is due in about 2 months, he just got laid off of work so I figure I would help em out.

I just scored one today for $50. It was the only one I saw sitting out. We already have the City Mini so we might give it to my mom to keep at her house.

People looking for these should look through all the strollers and travel systems. Managed to find a chicco cortina keyfit travel system for100 (200 off). Fisher price snugabunny swing for 50 (100 off). Fisher price sleeper for 25 (25 off). They were all at different stores and internet returns mixed in with regular items. One was hidden behind others etc.

Two at Trumbull ct but it says item not found...sticker says $99.

Spoke to a manager and he said it was salvaged and he could sell it for $99, but no lower...
