No need to even bother with that. If you take the micro sim to a T-mobile store they'll cut it for you free.

It really is no different today then it was last month. It's not like carriers would unlock your phone if you were still within 2 years. I sure as heck don't see ATT suing you or a DA bringing up charges on an individual unlocking their phones.

Now what could happen is that phones that are on a 2 year contract could be on a database and other carriers could refuse to activate them.

It is illegal to unlock without carrier permission (usually obtained to travel abroad or once your off contract). Already unlocked from manufacturer phones are fine.

Anybody knows whether the included charger is a USB charger with an iPhone cable or it's only compatible with the iPhone 4/4s.

screw them! Buy an unlock phone. Carrier subsidized phone is really a ploy to get you to pay more via the contract!

Exactly, I unlocked every phone I owned, I just told them I am going abroad and wanted to use this phone, they send me instructions and boom unlock, there is no legal glitch that you cant unlock the phone for going out of US. Beside that I usually travels its not that I lie to them, I have been sent to many countries in Asia and Europe.
