Deal Details

Did not see this posted anywhere so I figured I'd put it up.

It would appear that Sam's Club (possibly all of them but possibly only some) has canceled the Simply Right (in-house) brand of whey protein and has priced them to clear. This item is not on their website however I found it at the Deptford, NJ location. They had 33 left.

YMMV since you need to find a club that stocks it and one that has priced it to clear. I tried it and it wasn't bad tasting and mixed pretty good. Expiration date on my bag is June 2014.

Nutrition Information:

120 calories
23g protein
3g carbs

I've uploaded a picture. I found the product in the 'Health and Beauty' section.

Amazon [amazon.com] has it for about $40 shipped, but no reviews.

Thanks for posting the pic with "Sucralose" distinctly visible. Saved me a trip to the local Club.
Important info for any people who are sensitive / have allergies to artificial junk. harshan's post actually expressed appreciation for Adam22's thorough inclusion of data that many of us are forced to monitor. More power to anyone who uses & likes the stuff; personally, I appreciate the details Adam
(and the heads up harshan).

Several in my family are unable to pass Sucralose through their bodies; even one packet of it causes severe migraines, blurred vision and dizziness. Too much of anything can be negative, but a pinch of Splenda can drop me to the floor in agony. Doesn't seem like safe food from my perspective.

How's the flavor? I currently drink Muscle Milk and really don't like the flavor. Can't really mask it with all the fruit I add in.

oh god NOT SUCRALOSE! you're gonna die! people complain about the strangest stuff
i can vouch for the notorious effects of artificial sweeteners anecdotally. after buying propel water not knowing that it had the fake sugar and using it for a month, i will never again if i can help it ingest anything with that. it turned me into a sugar fiend...it was the strangest thing. that stopped a couple weeks after i stopped drinking it. also, there is a lot of research out there on artificial sweeteners; go review it and make a decision for yourself.
but for those that dont care about that it seems to be a good deal

Guys, Appreciate posting your experiences. Also on top of everything else, Artificial sweeteners have a strong link to Cancer. There are a lot of articles online corroborating that. In my opinion, any synthetic and GM foods will alter your DNA and all the subsequent long term ill effects. We spend close to 18% of our GDP on Healthcare ( the highest among all ) and Americans are the sickest as well - Kinda Chicken and Egg relationship here.

Unfortunately most of the Commercial Grade Proteins come with these Sweeteners, not to mention the antibiotics and GM Foods these Cows have been fed and the inhumane treatment suffered by them.

He was kidding man. You have to research this information. You use whey protein to help with nourishing your muscles primarily after working out. Although people will also take it before working out as well to have an additional protein intake. It is crucial to your diet when exercising.

What's this used for? weight lifters? dieters?
Can be used for both imo. I've used whey proteins as a supplement while dieting and maintaining my weight. Its cheap, quick, and easy protein.

True, very few without that crap. My own sensitivity to Sucralose has increased as I ingested more; eventually had to consult a family doctor. He explained how toxins build up from all the junk that our bodies can't digest.

Determined to eliminate processed sugars since losing grandparents to diabetes. Now I rely on a mix of Stevia / monkfruit powders with Xylitol, Erythritol and honey. moderation in all things & exercise FTW!

Both.

I'm a 32 month post op lapband girl with a slipped band. I vomit water about 90% of the time now until surgery (to remove the devil farking thing) and this is how I intake protein.

Pre-op I was obviously a big(ger) girl and by using these as a semi meal replacer, I dropped about 90lbs in 4.5 months or so with exercise.. simply because I didn't get hungry often.

My SO is Marines and drinks these post work out for muscle building purposes.

i stopped buying protein powder one year ago this month. Everyone time I drank it, was wondering what was in it. Who knows if some of the ingredients are sourced from China. Felt the risks were too great to continue. Yes, I do work out several times a week, and play several different sports. Do I notice any difference in muscle mass, etc since stopped using? No. I mentally feel better no longer wondering about its contents. I feel like I broke a bad habit. Not to mention the money saved as this stuff has gotten very expensive. To each their own.
