Thanks. I was going to wait for Amazon to get restocked with these, but after getting an email this morning from them estimating delivery late Feb or early March I decided to cancel. Back in the day I wouldn't mind ordering from Newegg, but these last couple years they seem to have really gone down the crapper. Their shipping is slow as hell and they are horrible to deal with if you need to return a defective product that they sent you, but hopefully using Shoprunner will remedy this.

3D Ready 24" Asus Monitor 144hz ($279.99) + Free 2 Day Shipping (Shoprunner) Actually a really good deal for something that has better response time than a 120hz monitor for gaming. Comes close in relation to the BenQ monitors Save 30.00 (10%) 279.99 + Free shipping with shoprunner Last edited by vahnz; 02-14-2013 at 07:40 AM.. |

Thanks for the post but...
not much of a deal off its MSRP price. Now if this was the model that came with the nvidia glasses, at this price it would be a good deal.. 10% off retail is no biggie. thats an everyday sale price. Its been that price for at least 2 weeks now at newegg. I also think I read somewhere these have a problem with a green tint or something. but it seems like it has great newegg user reviews. oh yeah. and this post is also a repost. was already posted on 2/5. FYI, the Asus VG248QE is now down to $265 backordered through Amazon (was $279 backordered last night from Amazon, and is now $289 from Newegg). I've been refreshing reviews and tracking this monitor at Newegg and Amazon for the past couple weeks wondering why I hadn't pulled the trigger yet. I'm stoked I waited, the extra $15 off through Amazon did it for me.
Even though Amazon says it ships in 3-5 weeks, I'm confident it will ship much sooner. A week ago, this was also backordered at Amazon stating 3-5 weeks, and the next day it was back in stock. So stoked to start gaming again, now I just need to pull the trigger on a video card, which I've been wrestling with since summer of last year. |

i've had for about a week so far and i really like it. Don't expect it to amaze you but it will smooth things out a lot. I've noticed differences in MOBA and FPS games mostly. Not much in ROTS.
This is a good price for a 120-144Hz refresh rate monitor, i'd certainly recommend it over any dell ultrasharp IPS. However I wouldn't buy this if you were looking to replace an existing monitor (unless you really hate it). |
