Sharp 70" LED 1080p 120Hz HDTV, LC70LE640U $1598 ymmv plus tax B&M Walmart

This is for the 600 series Sharp. I just bought it thinking they just sold the 640 and after coming home and reading the thread I went and looked on the box and it is the 600. Looks like its going back tomorrow.

I just went to my local Walmart and the employee said it was $1598 just like the add said. The key is if best buy will price match to get the rewards coupons and no interest for 24 months. Rather use someone else's money than my own at 0%

Disable 120Hz interpolation (smoothing effects done by the TV). Or just set it to 60Hz mode.

That's all TVs with 120/240Hz. I've never heard of it being undefeatable, but every brand calls it something different. For example it's called "Motionflow" on my Sony.

I have them holding a 640 for me but it will be a little to big for my fireplace. I thought my hunt was over guess I'm still looking fora 65 or 60. I will add ymmv to the title as it aappears this depends on how tv smart the salesperson is

How did you confirm this? The add has no mention of model #, just brand and size. Did they have this on display somewhere with the sale price listed? I could see this turning into a bit of a YMMV type of a deal. Maybe your store made a mistake on the model because they sent another guy in this thread home with a 600. I could really see this as being a nightmare to price match also.

Will I need a manager to over ride the price? Still confused on how to get the price, I'm willing to try just need a clear idea on how to do it.

I was wrong. The 640 series and 600 series are both on clearance for 1598. I had to go to 4 walmarts to finally get on but I finally got it. Great tv. Thanks op

I went in and asked the model number of the discounted tv on the flier and they come back and told me. They rang it up and adjusted price.

The way that I look at it is the ball is kind of in your court. I mean there's no mention of model # in the add so you could always argue which model # you think it should be. Another option you have is to go to a store that doesn't have any 600s in stock, just 640s as a way to ensure you get a 640. I kind of wonder how many stores actually have Sharp 70" TVs, and 640s no less. I've never known Walmart to have variety when it comes to stuff like that. Maybe this whole thing is a fluke of sorts.
