Sharp 70" LED 1080p 120Hz HDTV, LC70LE640U $1598 ymmv plus tax B&M Walmart

My walmart only had the 640 on the wall.

Already have 125" projector and 70 is just overkill for that room, trust me I really want to make it work . They are holding it for me to pick up in the morning though

Can't be worse than my old 50" 1366x768 plasma, and I find it perfectly acceptable from 12ft away as far as pixel size.

It's actually 69.5", so 31.7 PPI.
My 50" plasma is 31.34 PPI.
Works for me!

I really want to buy it if it's a 640U. Probably will pass if it's a 600U.
Only problem is I don't think Wal-Mart delivers. Anyone ever tried transporting a TV like this laying flat in the bed of a pickup? Sharp cautions due to size of the panel, it has to be transported vertically, but I can't think of a way to do that. It would be a 6-mile trip if the closest WM has one.

Did they have it for $1598 in your local add though? If so, bring that in with you and they should be obligated to give it to you for that price.

How is this going to look when using a ps3 or watching blu rays? What if you're watching a non HD channel? Going to look good?

Just called WM to check the model. The salesman confirmed that the model is 640U but they didn't have anything in stock.

It is model# LC-70LE732U, at least at the store I went to in the Port Arthur, TX. The display model still showed a "Roll Back" price of $2,298. Sorry did not get a picture of display.

Anyway I grabbed an ad when I walked in, ask someone in electronics and they said they yes it was the one on display and had 4 of them in the back, they have not changed the price on the display yet.

I questioned the Model# and he said models may vary from store to store depending on which warehouse they are getting their inventory from.

I know it is an older model, but I picked one up anyway for a friend that has been looking for a 70'' for a couple a weeks now. I think she will be happy with it.
