I actually bought the blue and black shoes, Men's size 9.5 because I liked the style. I usually buy New Balances or Nikes - this is the first pair of KMart shoes I've bought EVER. I think the Athletech's are VERY comfortable. In fact I think they are more comfortable than any pair of New Balances I've bought before. After a month worth of running and walking they are holding up very well. I bought mine for $10 + tax.
My take on them for what it's worth.

I've had a couple pairs of these. They become uncomfortable if I wear them for more than 2-3 hours. But not bad as a cheap pair to work outside in at home.

Are these cooler than the Trax shoes from the 80's? Had to wear that junk back then 'cuz Moms couldn't afford the good stuff, and got picked on all the time. My kids are just about the age where stuff like this will matter, so thinking I'll return the favor. If they complain, I'll send them to Moms and ask her to buy them the "expensive" shoes. Wink

After I started making my own chedda, I was rocking the Skidz, Triple Fat Goose, and K-Swiss....or BK's. Yeah, that's how I rolled.

Cool story bro?

so are you getting your kids jordan and some beatz headphones?

Two things in life that you don't go cheap on are
1. Shoes
2. mattress

since you're on your feet most of your waking life, and two you need to sleep at night your whole life.

Scored some wide width workboots for $16.99 + tax for the corral which is thick with mud and other fine smelling substances.

Haha. No I had a $80 pair of New Balances. I don't remember the model. I used to think like you when it comes to shoes...but Kmart changed my mind about that.

Over the years I've picked up a couple nice pair of Champion shoes at Target for $8 on clearance. They are great shoes.

I like the look of the Athletech shoes from K-Mart, but unfortunately they weren't comfortable for me when I tried them on in-store.

Sorry, no Jordans or Beatz in my house.....at least not on my dime! I don't put a lot of stock in brand names.....I learned a long time ago that using shoes and cars as status symbols are for people with far more psychological issues than me (okay, maybe not more, just different).

Luckily my kids aren't old enough for shoes to matter, but getting close. I imagine at some point I'll get some resistance on my $50 limit on shoes, but so far haven't had any problem finding Nike, Reebok, Fila, or other "name brand" shoes for $25-40.

My kids have had their fair share of cheap shoes, but they are usually regulated to weekend play ("mud shoes"). When their feet are growing fast, I guess $10 shoes are okay, but I'd rather spend $30 and get 3-4 months out of them, than to spend $10 every month.....of course I suppose the cost per month works out to be the same Wink

I've never had any experience with the Athletech brand of shoes, so I'm not making any judgements on this deal. I don't imagine they could be much worse than my experience with Skechers!

I have a couple of pair of New Balance sitting in the closet, but I'm not sure if I'll ever get to wear them.

Ryan Gosling says I need to be in a fraternity or be Steve Jobs to wear New Balance sneakers.
