I might be jumping ship from apple to android soon if a phucking jailbreak doesn't come out

Do you still need to sign a two year contract if you get one of these phone? The price seem low.

It's being sold by Google, not the carriers. Unlocked and unsubsidized. No contracts of any sort.

If you consider the entire lot, this is by far the BEST phone out there. Top notch specs, screen, and OS w/ an insanely cheap price. They were selling the S3 on contract for ~$300 at one point.

Google does not do this "Hey that app not from the App Store? Hell no, you can't install it on your phone..." No, no, no. Every Android phone can install any app outside the Google Play Store, without any unlocking. The feature is built into every Android device. Try doing that with an iOS device without having to get developer access and all kinds of bullshit.

You want to take it a step further and get full control of your phone? Here this is how you do it with Nexus devices.

1.) Power phone off.
2.) Press and hold volume buttons and power buttons until the Android shows on the display.
3.) Plug into PC
4.) With command line (and assuming you already have Android SDK setup) simply type (it's so easy to do that I remember it off the top of my head)
5.) Phone will confirm you want to unlock the bootloader, and will erase all data on the device.
6.) You're free to do whatever the hell you want with it now. You want to install Linux on it? Go ahead. Your choice. You want to do something stupid and attempt to install iOS on it? Go ahead. Do it.

It's your phone. It's your device. You paid for the damn thing didn't you? It is not Verizon's. It is not Apple's. It is YOURS.

And that is what Nexus is all about, the freedom to do what you want with YOUR device, with or without Google's say so.

And that my friend. Is beautiful. When you're ready to come out from that walled garden, we'll be waiting buddy.

Efffff...I just bought the S2 used, but mint. Looks like I have a decision to make.

How hot is too hot?
Mine is 25°C (naked) with no app running in background. A few races on NSF:MW, I get about 37°C/just below 40°C w/ case on. No slowdown and "too hot" moments to me.
