I know it's hard to know at this point, but I'm asking because I'm not as experienced in cell phone prices.

Will this phone drop in price sometime in the next couple of months (off contract)? I know someone who is interested in it, but doesn't need it and doesn't mind waiting a bit.

Thanks.

It is unlikely it will drop in price. I am assuming you mean buying directly from Google. It is already unlocked and hence attached to no contract.

When Google releases the next version, this phone will most likely just be discontinued and the new phone will be priced the same. (This is what happened when the Nexus 4 replaced the Galaxy Nexus.)

I bought 2 x Nexus 4 16GB back in Jan ($766.09 including tax, shipping) in an attempt to get some profits. However, I can not even sell it on craiglist for $400.

What should I do? Any advice is appreciate

Thanks guys

I have Straight Talk AT&T version and my mobile data connection shows a white H next to the connection symbol. Under settings this shows as "HOME" Is this essentially the same as AT&T 3G ?

BTW - my version is showing 4.2.1 and when I check for updates I don't get to download 4.2.2. How do I get the latest version and is there a change log somewhere for 4.2.2?
you got HDSPA aka fake 4G on tmobile/at&t phone.

I got an update notification on Friday night. you should get anytime soon..

Seriously??? How so? CDMA provides much better capacity per sq km or in lay man terms supports more users in a given area.
cdma is dead

My wifi is perfect, except, I can't login thru the GrooveIP to my Google Voice.
And I can from my other Android devices.
Is it something Google has intentionally build-in?EEK!
I did not have this problem after the OTA update.
GrooveIP works the same for me as it did on 4.2.1

I believe the LTE support was removed with the latest OTA update (4.2.2). So no longer works.
Or you could do this

Got my root back using the hot fix from NRK.
Next time I'll be more careful, using OTA Rootkeeper.
I didn't expect Google to do this root-removing Shiite w/OTA.
Guess all the big companies are alike.
I used OTA Rootkeeper to re-root after 4.2.2 update, but that cause Settings > Security to force crash. There is a thread on XDA Developers about it.

i got this phone and retuned it. Is a REALLY nice phone i was concerned with LG brand but it's much better than previews version. My problems were that coming from a galaxy s3 the screen size was smaller (also due to the soft keys in the screen), i had a 64gb microsd card withmy galaxy s3 and realize the 16gb version was not going to cut it, also the back part of the phone gets boiling hot. Got a note 2 which is also a very nice phone. I would have been satisfied with the nexus 4 with better battery life and microsd slot. my galaxy note 2 gets like 7+ hours on screen and 2 days regular usage until it dies.

So.. if LTE is enabled.. does that mean I can use it with Verizon?

I'm trying really hard not to get a S3 (eBay/CL)

No, it doesn't have an LTE band that Verizon uses.

This phone has unlockable LTE running on Band 4 according to some posts here. Going by wikipedia, AT&T runs on bands 17 and 4. Does this mean the phone can be used on AT&T with LTE?
If you keep the LTE by following the directions to downgrade, and you live in some of the US, then yes.

Most of the US doesn't have ATT on band 4, as ATT prioritizes band 17, so it's a pretty small set of users who live in those cities and actually use a non subsidized phone on ATT.

A couple questions about the N4 settings -
I need to be able to go into silent mode fairly often because of work. Is there a quick way to go silent? I see I can go to to volume settings and slide the different ones to silent but is there a quick silent feature? If not, I found a widget that allows this but I'd rather have a quick way to do it on the phone, esp if there's a shortcut available-
https://play.google.com/store/app...modetoggle

Secondly, the camera settings are where? I can enable the camera and then get to some settings...but is there an area where I can disable the sound when I shoot a picture? I did some research on this issue and see that some phones do not allow a picture to be taken without making a sound. I can disable sound using ProCapture...but is there a way to get to the camera settings to disable sound when I take a picture?

thanks

Hold the volume down key. It will stop at silent before going to vibrate.
