Laptop is mehhh, not paying $500 for a Core i3, even one with a bigger HDD than most.

Debating on the Airport Extreme. Reviews are hit or miss in terms of Best Buy having a good working unit. Then again there's only 11 reviews. Then again I also hope it's not too beaten up cosmetically either. Bah.

I bought the same one for the same price back in November. I got a unit that didn't turn on - I think it had the wrong power adapter. Best Buy took it back and promptly sent me a new one. It was the newest version, and it's been working well. Mine also looked good cosmetically (even the one I had to send back).

I think it's worth a try. And if it doesn't work out, Best Buy will take it back.

Very temped to jump on this deal. I missed the last time they did this (for $80). But the reviews are a bit worrisome. I like the fact that you can take it back to BB, but it doesn't look like it has any warranty on it though?

Did they actually send a brand new one? Did you ship it back of were you able to return in-store? I did end up jumping on the deal.

I need to get a laptop this week, is this Samsung good or should I go with the below Asus -

They sent another refurb, but that one had the right power cord. They sent it immediately when I called as well. I also got expedited shipping since I'm Premier Silver.

They emailed me a label, and I shipped the other one back the next day. I'd rather not deal with the hassle in store (showing ID and all that), and it was free anyway. I could have returned it in the store if I wanted to do so.

You're asking if you should spend $20 less on a Core i5 vs. a Core i3? Pretty much a no brainer...its not like its a Fujitsu or some other untrustworthy brand.

A couple reviewers didn't like the Asus' touchpad though, so....that might be deal breaker.

Check out the Lenovo Outlet. I saw a refurb Core i3 Thinkpad Edge E430 yesterday for $280. If I had the money I'd have snatched it up in a heartbeat. Deals come and go so its best to check regularly, but I saw a refurb Core i5 for like $380 earlier today. They have a scratch & dent B570 Core i3 for $350 right now.
