cathy.mather@brownells.com is the contact for emailing FFL's into the Brownells. I just had mine emailed in yesterday for the 5 I pre-ordered last month. I'll try 5 this time... and hopefully they ship :-)

Feel free to keep paying this much, or more, for lowers. I support your right to do so. But shame on everyone for not preparing for something like this much sooner than now. I won't pay inflated prices and I look forward to a future where there is an AR-Bubble to burst because everyone who panicked wants to unload their ARs so I can pick them up for next to nothing because their wife "wants to get rid of it." Dave Ramsey is my homeboy.

I think tomorrow might be a turning point in the AR market and the gun control debate. The Bill Diane Feinstein has proposed will be voted on by Congress.
Democrats control 55 out of 100 Senate votes. In order to pass they would need all of those votes, plus five Republican votes. I don't see that happening. If it did, then it will go to the House which is majority led by Republicans 234 vs. Democrats 201. They would need 218 votes to gain a majority and I don't think there are 17 Republicans willing to vote for that bill (and expect to get re-elected). President Obama and the Democrats in congress get to propose a gun control bill. They can look like the good guys and say to their supporters "Hey, we tried!" The Republicans get to fight it and claim they defended the Right to Bear Arms. This looks good with their voters. Firearms and ammo manufacturers and retailers see unprecedented sales and rake in the cash! The only people who loose are the people buying a gun or ammo right now. Paying 2-3 times the price that they were 6 weeks ago. What I am curious to see is will the prices actually come back down after the ban fails in congress or will it be like gas prices? What's to stop firearms and ammunition manufacturers from raising prices just like oil companies did and claiming it's a supply problem or some other issue. Once again I could see this being like a chess game. Both sides are distracting us from the real plan. It's not about protecting our children or our right to bear arms, it's about money plain and simple. |
